Thanks to all those who turned out for the Leinster ride out today, Sunday 8th September. 20 members and friends on 15 bikes enjoyed the sunny spin through counties Wicklow and Carlow led by Leinster Rep, Denis. The day began at Applegreen Service Station, Coyne's Cross where members fuelled up (both themselves and their bikes!) for the day ahead.
From there, the ride headed towards Roundwood via the Vartry Reservoir and carried on through Laragh to the Wicklow Gap, where it stopped at Turlough Hill car park for a "Kodak moment" and encountered the all-ladies bike club, Black Widows Ireland, who were heading for Bray.
The group carried on over the Wicklow Gap and through Hollywood, down the N81 to Baltinglass for lunch at Germains.
The final leg of the ride took the scenic R747 through Hacketstown, Tinahely, Aughrim, Woodenbridge and into Arklow where it joined the coast road heading north through Brittas Bay finishing up for coffee and cake at The Jailers Rest in Wicklow Town.
A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to winger-in-the-making, Adam, who turned 12 today and is another year closer to owning his very own bike and winning "Youngest Rider" all round!
The next Leinster ride out (No. 8) will take place on Sunday 29th September. Please keep an eye on the website for leader and route, both of which will be confirmed nearer the time.
Super pictures, Hope to Meet up with you all at the AGM. Sorry I missed the Birthday Cake for (Grandson) Happy Birthday Adam
