Leinster Wings escort Santa to Lucan

There was a special delivery in Lucan today as Santa was escorted to the village for the Christmas festivities by no less than 14 bikes all seasonally decked out for the occasion. The Leinster Wings were joined by Zara Curtis Irish Dancers, Lucan Gospel Choir, PC Players Panto Group and Corus Choir at the festivities, which included turning on the village Christmas lights. The wet weather didn't keep people away and there were scores of local children queuing up to meet Santa to make sure he had his list correct in time for Christmas.

A big thank you from today's coordinator, Dermot King, and Leinster Rep, Denis Dwyer, to all of our Leinster members who braved the elements and attended the event. A special thank you to our very own Santa Claus, Sean Meyler, who wholeheartedly took on the Christmas spirit. After performing his duties in the village, Santa returned to the Lucan Spa Hotel for a coffee only to be requested by the hotel manager to make an appearance in a room full of special needs children who were there for a meal after attending the panto. What a treat for them - thanks Santa!
