Saturday morning Connemara ride out at Cong

Prior to taking part in the festivities at Cong Food Festival, GWOCI and GWOCNI members gathered at Lakeland House on Saturday morning in preparation for a scenic ride out through Connemara. The weather cooperated throughout as 13 bikes, trikes and sidecars departed Cong, travelling over the mountains along the Mayo / Galway border through Finny and into Leenane on the southern shore of Killary Harbour where they stopped for coffee and cake at The Sheep and Wool Centre. The group continued along the scenic R344, past the lakes towards Recess and on to Maam Cross turning north in the direction of Maum before heading back along the R345 to return to Cong in time for the afternoon's activities.

The Munster Wings did a similar route on Friday.
