Hi everyone, I would like to thank all who participated in the Guard of Honour for dear departed friend and member Joe Dunne. It was wonderful to witness all the regions represented in a terrific turn out and in so doing fulfilling Joe's and his families request. Regards, Dermott.

A Special message to club members from Joe's family.

We as a family are finding it very difficult at the moment adjusting to life without our Wonderful Dad. He was such an active part of all our lives and our daily phone calls ( often several daily calls ) are being missed so much On behalf of Dad’s family I would like to convey our sincere thanks to each and every member of the Gold Wing Group who took part in a Guard of Honour on the morning of his funeral. We really appreciate that many people made a lengthy journey to be with us on the day and probably took a day or two off work . The amount of people who turned up was way beyond our expectations. We have no doubt that he was looking down on you all beaming from ear to ear with delight. He would have been so proud . As it was Dads own request to have a guard of honour we can never thank you enough for making it happen . We know just how much he enjoyed his trips out on the bike with Barbara like the Queen sitting up behind him . He really enjoyed when his Bother in Law Donald came over from England to join them for the trips . I hope that my Brother Brian will get as much pleasure from his bike as Dad did . I remember his first trip to Sweden when I told him that Daughters were not meant to worry about their Dads going on holiday and that it should be the other way round . He thought this was hilarious but I can assure you I was very relieved when they arrived back home safe & sound . Once again a very sincere thank you to each and everyone of you . Can you please forward this email to everyone for me . Enjoy your outing in August and I’m sure Dads name will be mentioned many times over the weekend . Safe travels to everyone Kind regards & appreciation Geraldine
